Hall Green on The Move

This community project brings together a range of local groups including Friends of Hall Green Library, Hall Green Station Adopters, Hall Green and District Amateur Gardening Society, Sarehole Environmental Action Team, Birmingham Park Rangers, Hall Green Litter Angels and local businesses, artists and poets.

The project has been designed to connect Hall Green Library to the Station Hub, with the aim of promoting local literary assets and encourage increased community engagement throughout the neighbourhoods.

The loyal Friends of Hall Green Station have long provided Poetry Showcases at the station and passengers have relished reading these displays whilst awaiting their trains.

With more literary displays at the station and closer alignments between the town's book community and travelling rail passengers, greater use of the library’s reading and learning opportunities have flourished.

The project leaders central aim has been to inspire and support local groups and to enrich the 'community spirit' across Hall Green.  On a recent project visit to Hall Green, it was abundantly clear that this aim has been reached and surpassed.
